Belagavi Study Circle of ICSI & KLS IMER, Belagavi with Goa Chapter of WIRC of ICSI as knowledge partners organized a half day seminar on Friday, 22^nd January 2016 in our campus.

The topic for the seminar was "All about Private Limited Companies under the Companies Act, 2013". The resource persons for the seminar were Dr. K. R. Chandratre, and Mahesh J. Risbud, practicing Company Secretaries from Pune. The resource persons gave an overall view of Companies Act 2013 applicable to Pvt. Ltd. companies. The resource persons said: The Companies Act, 2013 passed by the Parliament has received the assent of the President of India on 29^th August, 2013. The Act consolidates and amends the law relating to companies. The Companies Act, 2013 has been notified in the Official Gazette on 30^th August, 2013. Some of the provisions of the Act have been implemented by a notification published on 12^th September, 2013. Some of the provisions of Companies Act, 1956, especially those relating to winding up, merger, amalgamations and oppressions and mis - management are still in force.

The Seminar was inaugurated by Shri Rajendra Belgaumkar, Chairman, GC, KLS IMER, Company Secretary Mr. Vikram Madennavar introduced the speakers. Company secretaries: S. R. Deshpande, R. H. Sadekar, Urjit Damale, Roshan Raikar, Neha Jamnani co-ordinated the event on behalf of Belagavi Study Circle.
