The inaugural function of 6 days Export Management Training Program was held at KLS IMER, Belagavi.

This program was organised by Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre, Bangalore in association with District Industries Centre, Belagavi and KLS Institute of Management Education and Research (IMER), Belagavi for 35 prospective exporters.

Inaugurating the program, Director (exports) and Managing Director, Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre, Bangalore. Mr. B K Shivakumar told that there is a huge demand for traditional products of Karnataka in International market. VTPC will help in identifying potential products and countries for exports. The entrepreneurs by exporting quality products will earn guaranteed profits throughout the year there by contributing to economic growth of the country. Anybody can export using their intelligence and export knowledge. He appreciated the efforts of KLS IMER in initiating a value addition certificate course on Export Management to the students.

Mr. Satyanarayan Bhat, Joint Director, Industry Centre, Belagavi told that Belagavi district has good industrial atmosphere and infrastructure for establishing export industries and Belagavi is also second largest GST payer after Bangalore in Karnataka, there is tremendous scope for automobile industries in Belagavi district are almost 85% of automobile components are manufactured and sent to Pune & other automobile manufacturing unit. DIC is ready to help the prospective exporters, MSME’s to establish industries in Belagavi district. He wished all the entrepreneurs success.

Shri. R S Mutalik, Chairman, KLS IMER, Belagavi in his presidential remarks whole heartedly appreciated VTPC for arranging export management training program in our institute. Belagavi is a special place in Karnataka which is equidistant from Bangalore, Pune and Goa, it has got good industrial culture and has good scope for export industry. He called upon the MSME’s to utilize the knowledge of exports & undertake export from this district.

Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director, KLS IMER, Belagavi welcomed the dignitaries and participants of the program & called upon the participants to make meaningful use of the program.

Introductory remarks and objective of the program was briefed by T S Mallikarjun, Assistant Director VTPC, Dharwad.

The program was attended by 35 prospective MSME exporters & MBA students.
