Workshop on "Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis in Research Using SPSS"
The Research Centre of KLS IMER in Association with AIMS has organized a two day workshop on "Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis in Research Using SPSS" on 27th & 28th February for the Research Scholars. The workshop was specifically designed keeping in mind the requirements of the research community regarding data analysis and to equip them with necessary research tools. The workshop focused on integrating qualitative and quantitative approaches to ensure effective research.
Comprehensive sessions were conducted to make every participant comfortable with the theoretical foundation of each statistical technique before giving hands on experience on executing appropriate analytical tool using SPSS.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Vijayalaxmi Aminabhavi, Professor, Department of Psychology from Karnataka University, Dharwad. In her inaugural address, Dr. Aminabhavi spoke on relevance of Qualitative and Quantitative analysis in research using SPSS. She told the research scholars to be inquisitive about research problems in the society as the society is the open book of knowledge.
Mr. Rajendra Belgaumkar, Chairman, Governing Council, IMER presided over the function. In his presidential remarks Mr. Belgaumkar told the research scholars to take benefit of the resources available in the Research Centre of the institute. He has also said the management has procured legal version of SPSS version 24.0 to facilitate research work in the community. Dr. Vijayalaxmi Aminabhavi, Dr. P. A. Katarki, Retired Professor from university of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad; Dr. Poornima M Charantimath, Professor, KLS IMER and Mr. Subramanay K., Statistician from SPSS were the resource persons.
Dr. Poornima M. Charantimath welcomed; Dr. S. G. Chiniwar, Professor, KLS IMER proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Sanjay Deshpande, Placement Officer of the institute was master of ceremony.
