Karnataka Law Society’s, Institute of Management Education and Research, Belagavi and Laghu Udyog Bharti (Belagavi Unit) jointly organised a Management Development Program on 23 rd December 2025, for the Industry Representatives with an intention to provide broader insights on New Labour Reforms introduced by Government of India with the title “Essentials of Labour Codes”.

The program session had delivered by Dr. Koushik Sarkar, Professor and Chair, General Management, Goa Institute of Management and CMA. N. Ravindranath Koushik, Bengaluru.

80 plus delegates from various Industries were participated in this Management Development Program.

The program got inaugurated by Shri. D G Nagesh, Deputy Labour Commissioner, Belagavi as a Chief Guest and he threw light on the older provisions of Indian Labour Laws and the revised codes of Labour and its suitability towards the Industry. Dr.Sachin Sabnis, National Vice President, Laghu Udyog Bharti was the guest of honour and he advocated the need of the reforms of Labour laws and explained the benefits of the same to the industries of Belagavi.

Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director, KLS IMER presided over the function. In his presidential remarks, he focused on the Industry and academia collaboration to foster the learning process. Mr. Mahesh Inamdar, President Laghu Udyog Bharati, Belagavi Unit, briefed about the significance of the organisation and its effort towards supporting MSMEs.

Dr. Praveen Kulkarni welcomed the gathering by providing the overview of the revised labour laws and relevance to the industry. Dr. Ameet V Kulkarni proposed the vote of thanks on this occasion.
