Dr. Shailaja Hiremath, Associate Professor & Presiding Officer IC-KLS IMER was invited by KLS Gogte College of Commerce as a resource person to conduct an awareness session on POSH Act 2013. The staff and students of B, COM, BBA, BCA & M.Com attended the same.

The session covered the broad provisions of "The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013". Awareness about the POSH Act is imperative to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace for all. It empowers employees/students to recognize and report inappropriate behavior without fear. Such awareness fosters trust, accountability, and gender sensitivity across organizations. Ultimately, it helps build a culture of dignity, equality, and zero tolerance toward sexual harassment of women at workplace including higher education institutions.
