Dr. Shailaja Hiremath, Associate Professor and Presiding Officer-ICC at KLS IMER was invited as the Resource Person for a Training Session on the POSH Act (Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013) by Karnataka Law Society’s Raja Lakhamgouda Law College (RLL Law College), Belagavi on 26th April 2025. Around 130 law students across all semesters, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college, actively participated in the session.

The presentation was well received and highly appreciated by the participants. The session shed light on the legal provisions and institutional responsibilities under the POSH Act and emphasized the need for safe and dignified workspaces for women.

Principal Dr. A. H. Hawaldar and faculty members lauded the relevance of the session and expressed gratitude for the valuable learning it provided.
