KLS IMER, Belagavi organized an activity on Tuesday, 28th March 2023, of donating old newspapers and magazines to Shantai Vidyaadhar, Belagavi. Shantai Vidyaadhar initiative supports students from underprivileged section of the society, who cannot afford to pay the fees towards their education. There are 480 such students till date, who have completed their education in Engineering, Medical and other degrees with the help of this initiative. IMER has been associated with Shantai Vidyaaadhaar initiative close to 8 years. Mr. Vijay More, Ex-Mayor and Social Activist and Mr. Santosh Mamdapur accepted the donation of more than 1000 Kgs of old newspapers on behalf of Shantai Vidyaadhar. Both the dignitaries addressed the students about importance of social work and contribution to uplift the weaker section of the society. Shri R. S. Mutalik, Chairman-KLS IMER graced the occasion and assured to extend support to the noble cause. Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director, KLS IMER, appreciated the organizing team for their active role. Mr. Sunil Kulkarni, Dr. Shailaja Hiremath and Dr. Shreekant Naik coordinated the activity.
