KLS IMER had organised a workshop on “Empowering Innovations: One Day Workshop on Intellectual Property Right (IPR) on 6 th May, 2025. Mr. Vivek Ananad Sagar, IP Attorney, Advocates and Solicitors, Bengaluru was the chief guest of the function. He emphasised on the relevance of IPR procedures and the significance of the same. Dr. Santosh M Nejakar, HOD, Jain Institute of Technology was another resource person, who explained about filing procedures of the patents and trademarks. Prof. Satish Anikhindi, R L Law College Belagavi took a session on Trade Marks and geographical recognitions to the products and services. Shri. R S Mutalik, Chairman, Governing Council presided over the function and in his presidential remarks stresses on the vital role of innovations and providing the commercial value to the same. Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director KLS IMER welcomed the gathering. Dr.Praveen Kulkarni, Professor, KLS IMER and Prof. Ameet V Kulkarni Coordinated the event. Faculty, staff of KLS IMER and participants from other institutions were the beneficiaries of the event.
