Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of KLS IMER organized the sensitization workshop on 6th December 2022 for all teaching and non-teaching staff to create awareness about the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) (POSH)Act, 2013. Dr. Samina Nahid Baig Assistant Professor, KLS RL Law College was the resource person for the workshop. She briefed the genesis of POSH Act, 2013 and discussed relevant legal cases on sexual harassment at workplace. Dr. Baig educated staff about nature of sexual harassment, the category of women who are covered under the Act and the procedure to resolve the complaints as per the POSH Act. The workshop covered various measures that the organizations take to deter the harassment cases at workplace.

Dr. Arif Shaikh, In-charge Director-KLS IMER gave the introductory remark on institutional commitment towards the implementation of the provisions as per POSH Act. Dr. Shailaja Hiremath, Presiding Officer-ICC KLS IMER spoke on the importance and necessity of ICC at educational the institution as directed by the regulatory authorities of higher education in India.
